Assistant Appliance Buyer

Toronto’s appliance merchandising team needs an Assistant Buyer with category management, procurement, and Excel skills in an in-office role.

At Leon’s, this Assistant Buyer supports the Appliance Buyer while coordinating drop-ship and online business activities. The work covers assortment planning, purchasing, supplier relationships, inventory, analytics, and appliance product knowledge. You will collaborate with marketing and other departments on campaigns, promotions, and sales support.

• Support appliance assortment planning, purchasing, and merchandise allocation
• Manage supplier relationships and appliance inventory levels
• Coordinate drop-ship and online business activities
• Track allowances, rebates, and co-op funding
• Provide timely product knowledge to sales associates

• Knowledge of current home appliance industry trends
• Experience supporting appliance procurement across multiple product categories
• Previous category management experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with Excel proficiency
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
