The opportunity:

We are seeking a driven and relationship‑focused Managing Director, Corporate Development to join our Corporate Development team at our downtown Toronto office. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and expanding Optimize’s growing network of financial advisors. Reporting directly to the Chief Business Development Officer, you will play a key role in showcasing our innovative Advisor Platform, building lasting relationships with prospective advisors, and driving strategic growth initiatives.

This is a full‑time, on‑site position (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.).

Key responsibilities:
  • Prospect new and existing leads by leveraging a robust database to build relationships with prospective Advisors through phone and virtual conversations.
  • Conduct timely follow‑ups with engaged prospects to strengthen relationships, maintain momentum, and advance opportunities through the sales pipeline.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records within the CRM system to ensure all interactions, data, and follow‑up activities are consistently tracked and actioned.
  • Execute targeted business development strategies to acquire new partners, expand market presence, and contribute to the firm’s growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop innovative outreach approaches and collectively exceed performance targets.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years’ industry/sales experience
  • Superior ability to host sales presentations and close deals
  • A passion for sales and track record of success
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • Ability to prioritize and work under deadlines
