Key Responsibilities
The Sales Manager is responsible for managing Key Account Managers in different territories across the country. The role develops and implements a strategic plan, taking into consideration the environment, identifying issues and addressing them.
Support in developing strategic plans and executing operational marketing plans that support business objectives while working collaboratively with other team members.
Develop business sales plans for individual accounts, set appropriate objectives for customer calls in line with territory business plans in an effort to meet or exceed sales goals and key performance indicators.
Review all data and reports to analyze performance, identify trends, to enable you and your team seize new opportunities.
Working with your team members, identify, develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
Ensure that your team analyzes territory information and insights to develop and execute effective account plans, optimize routing, and maximize field resources to achieve results.
Understand how patients and HCPs navigate the Canadian Healthcare system and integrate those insights into all interactions with HCPs.
Conduct regular business reviews, analyzing product performance against key metrics while providing key recommendations for accelerating growth.
In collaboration with Medical and Sales Representatives, plan and organize speakers programs and other peer‑to‑peer activities.
Play a leading role in successfully launching new products.
Ensure a high level of call and field productivity; expected to meet and exceed expectations for call plans.
Grow sales, manage assigned budget, show profitability.
Skills & Qualifications
University Degree.
At least 6 years of pharma sales experience and at least 3 years in pharma sales management.
Experience and working knowledge of the Canadian pharmaceutical environment.
Previous track record of leading sales results by utilizing a multichannel approach.
Previous sales experience in a highly competitive pharmaceutical environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience using social media tools is an asset.
Strong time‑management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage own workload while multi‑tasking.
Strong innovative and creative selling skills; entrepreneurial spirit.
Ability to learn both technical and product related materials.
High energy, self‑motivated, and results‑oriented with the ability to lead and inspire change.
Ability to communicate with physicians, executives and business partners.
Ability to partner with the sales force and sales management to develop brand strategies.
Product launch experience an asset.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Hospital selling experience required.
Driver’s licence required.
