Position: Shift Security Supervisor
Site: North York General Hospital Finch
Key responsibilities:
Provides leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching and training.Ensures all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shift.Ensures site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and site-specific security policies and procedures.Plans and implements shift work schedules.Ensures all Security Guards have received the mandatory training.Motivates staff and issues commendations.Disciplines staff when necessary and ensures proper documentation is passed onto head office.Performs security audits.Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints.Provide proactive and reactive security patrols.Communicates any concerns/issues with Client Service Manager.Prerequisites:
Valid Security License for the province of OntarioValid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved providerCovid Vaccine two dosesProof of up to date immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step Tuberculosis skin testValid G class Driver's LicenseMust be willing to complete N95 Mask fit testing during the trainingVulnerable Sector CheckMinimum 1 year of healthcare supervisory experience preferredDemonstrated ability to perform under pressure.Proven ability to train, direct, and motivate staff.Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)Legally authorized to work in CanadaMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware:
The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
