Job Description- Patrol assigned area on foot, as assigned, to ensure personal, building, and equipment security.
- Watch for and report irregularities by completing investigations and incident reports, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contact emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, as required.
- Utilize two-way radio and computer applications for communicating site activities.
- Sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and provide specialized security services by enforcing rules and regulations when required.
- Offer support to any person in need, such as providing good customer service during security presence, directing visitors, and responding to emergency situations involving violent individuals and injuries.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Covid Vaccine two doses
- Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin test
- English (oral and written) fluency is a must
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to onboarding to meet the position requirements
- The UoF/MOAB certification is not paid, but Paladin will cover the training costs with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
