We are currently seeking a Security Coordinator for our Toronto Pearson Airport location
. This role supports airport parking operations through surveillance monitoring, security investigations, incident reporting, and compliance activities, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with management to develop, implement, and maintain video surveillance policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Develop and execute action plans to prevent and reduce illegal or criminal activity, ensuring a safe environment for customers, staff, and airport operations.
- Conduct daily system and camera checks at the start of each shift to ensure all surveillance equipment is fully operational.
- Monitor surveillance systems to identify stolen vehicles, vandalism, suspicious behavior, or other criminal activity.
- Investigate stolen vehicle incidents by identifying entry and exit data.
- Review, extract, and distribute video footage and relevant customer or parker information to internal and external stakeholders, including Indigo Management, Peel Regional Police, and the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA).
- Maintain, update, and circulate the Stolen Vehicle Log to Indigo Management, Peel Regional Police, and GTAA as required.
- Maintain and verify the Vehicles of Interest (VOI) log across all parking facilities, providing monthly updates to Indigo Management and GTAA.
- Verify and reconcile towed‑out vehicle records on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure the functionality and reliability of all surveillance systems and applications; report, track, and follow up on any system malfunctions or outages.
- Conduct daily facility inspections to identify Vehicles of Interest (VOIs) and address potential security risks.
- Respond to infraction notice inquiries daily, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Compile incident reports, audit documentation, investigations, and operational summaries, maintaining detailed and accurate tracking logs.
- Conduct and support internal and external audits related to security operations, surveillance systems and compliance requirements.
- Distribute reports and logs to Indigo Management and other designated stakeholders.
- Provide operational support to the MDT team as required.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support facility safety, equipment functionality, and compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
- Prioritize and action all security‑related requests promptly, in accordance with established timelines and urgency levels.
- Follow up daily on all open investigations and pending requests to ensure resolution.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support airport security operations.
- Attend biweekly client meetings.
- Ability to work independently in an operational and office‑based environment.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions as part of daily facility inspections.
- Must be able to walk parking facilities and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast‑paced airport environment.
- Post‑secondary education in Police Foundations, Criminology, Security, Law Enforcement, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Experience in security operations, surveillance, investigations, or a related operational role.
- Strong understanding of incident reporting, compliance, and Health & Safety principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
