Position: Security Guard - Ontario Court of Justice (Downtown ).
Job Description:The on-site security personnel will provide a variety of services, implementing the Courthouse’s security objectives according to policies and procedures which may include but are not limited to the following general tasks:
Protect the safety of persons and their belongings on Courthouse propertyPrevent and minimize fire, theft, vandalism, criminal damage, and trespass on Courthouse propertyParking enforcement: including but not limited to the tagging/towing of unauthorized vehicles, calling out contractors for snow removal.Minor parking gate access repairs and/or unjamming of mechanismsProhibit entry into secure areas of the Courthouse by anyone other than authorized persons determined by an authorized Courthouse administrator.Complete interior and exterior patrol rounds of the Courthouse including documentation of conditions/safety concerns and weather reports as required.Enforcement of the Courthouse’s smoke-free property policiesMonitor security consoles (access control, secure elevator, and CCTV video monitors)Visitor and employee identification verificationsRespond to alarmsComplete incident reports, logs, and daily operating reportsIssue and control access cards and keys to personnel, contractors, and visitors when requiredLock and unlock doors as scheduled or requiredReport any unusual incidents or hazardous conditionsMaintain a log of security incidents and report occurrencesDocument, secure, and manage lost and found property and property safekeepingSecurity personnel will provide safety escort services to emergency contractors on Courthouse property when requiredAdvise Courthouse staff immediately of any notifiable incidentsAssist TPS with the management of any aggressive visitors (physically and verbally)Attend every event or incident, which they reasonably consider may jeopardize the security of the Facility and provide a high level of customer service.Assist TPS with the management of illicit substances and or weapons; securing the location of any found items, while awaiting TPS.Document all events in a notebook or electronic incident reportOther duties as required/requestedWhy choose Paladin?

First Aid/CPR
Certification Requirements (All)
Valid Ontario Security License
First Aid, CPR Level C
Judicial Matters Criminal Records Check
Minimum of 1 year security experience
