About The Role
Join our Enterprise Physical Security team as a Security Operations Specialist and become the trusted guardian of our international head office in Toronto. This is a pivotal role where your expertise directly impacts the safety and confidence of our entire workforce and visitors. Reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Physical Security, you'll be the primary point of contact for our Incident Reporting Center and on-site security operations—a position of real responsibility and respect within our organization.
You'll work alongside a dedicated team of security professionals who are committed to developing cutting-edge security solutions, emergency response protocols, and risk management programs. In‑office requirement of five (5) days per week
What You’ll Do- Lead Security Response:
Coordinate incident investigations and serve as the on‑site point of contact for real‑time security situations, working directly with the Incident Reporting Center - Protect Our Leadership:
Support high‑level security initiatives, including executive protection and sensitive personnel matters – a role of trust and discretion - Manage Security Technology:
Maintain and optimize physical security systems, conduct regular audits, and stay ahead of emerging security technologies - Plan & Execute:
Contribute to strategic security planning, risk assessments, and intelligence gathering for major events and operations - Ensure Safety Compliance:
Lead OHS walkthroughs, emergency drills, and evacuation planning to protect our entire community - Build Partnerships:
Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency services, and building management to create a comprehensive security network - Drive Continuous Improvement:
Proactively identify security risks, audit protocols, and recommend enhancements to security policies and procedures
- 5+ years of corporate security or law enforcement experience
- Secondary education in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field (preferred)
- Professional certifications (CPP, PSP, or equivalent – highly desirable)
- Strong knowledge of emergency response protocols and risk assessment methodologies
