Overnight Security Worker Red Door

Support the mission of Red Door as an Overnight Worker at their Gender Based Violence Shelter. Provide security and assist residents during the overnight shift for 35 hours a week.

At Red Door, you will work full-time with a commitment to ending homelessness.

Your role involves ensuring building security, conducting emergency intakes, and assisting clients with daily living challenges. You will be integral in maintaining a safe environment while supporting residents in their transition back to community integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure the facility during overnight hours and patrol building

• Handle emergencies and conduct resident intakes

• Provide feedback and crisis intervention for clients

• Maintain daily logs and complete occupancy reports

• Organize office area and prepare rooms for incoming residents

Requirements:

• Diploma in social services or equivalent experience

• Knowledge of Toronto's social service system

• Ability to manage abusive behaviour effectively

• Initiative and teamwork skills required

• Commitment to complete CPR and WHMIS training
