Our Investigative Services Department is seeking an experienced Investigator to join their team!
What You Will DoThe Investigator plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity, safety, and security of TTC customers, employees, facilities, vehicles, and assets. This position conducts a wide range of investigative activities, including counterfeit fare media and revenue protection investigations, internal criminal and special investigations, surveillance operations, graffiti and commuter‑parking enforcement, and follow‑up on criminal matters. The role is responsible for gathering and analyzing information, conducting surveillance, collecting evidence, preparing case files, and providing testimony in court or arbitration proceedings.
The Investigator collaborates with internal and external partners on matters of mutual concern, supports organizational initiatives by sharing expertise and resources, and exercises the authority of a Provincial Offences Officer to enforce applicable regulations. The position also maintains accurate records, reports, and documentation in accordance with TTC standards and policies.
A key component of the role is promoting a respectful, inclusive, and harassment‑free work environment. The Investigator supports TTC’s commitments under the Ontario Human Rights Code, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and related TTC policies by contributing to the development and delivery of equitable and accessible services for employees and customers.

- Experience conducting criminal, internal, or special investigations.
- Skilled in surveillance techniques and evidence collection.
- Background in regulatory or law enforcement related enforcement.
- Experience preparing case files and providing testimony in legal or arbitration settings.
- Knowledge of fraud detection, counterfeit identification, or revenue protection.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
- Strong information analysis and documentation skills.
