Director of Legislative Security Services

Become the Executive Director of the Sergeant-at-Arms Division at the Ontario Legislative Assembly, based in Toronto, ON. This role requires a leader with extensive political and law enforcement experience to ensure safety and effective operations.

As a senior officer, you will guide the strategic direction of the Legislative Protective Service, ensuring security in the Legislative Chamber and broader precinct. You will engage directly with legislative leaders and manage complex security operations critical to maintaining order and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure security protocols in the Chamber and precinct

• Direct comprehensive security services and operations

• Lead strategic planning and policy development

• Conduct ceremonial functions as Mace guardian

• Advise Clerk and Speaker on related security matters

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in law enforcement leadership

• Deep understanding of public safety legislation

• Proven leadership in event management and response

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Experience in human resource management
