Job Description
This role provides operational leadership in support of frontline security teams, ensuring contractual, operational, and institutional standards are consistently met. It offers the opportunity to work within a leading Ontario post-secondary security environment while gaining hands-on experience in campus operations, emergency management, and stakeholder engagement
Supervise our Security Staff assigned to Newnham & PeterboroughEnsure daily operational coverage and assign work, patrols, breaks, and responsibilitiesConduct daily shift briefings and communicate operational updatesMonitor employee performance and provide coaching, mentorship, and guidanceEnsure all staff are properly licensed, uniformed, and equippedReview incident reports, memo books, patrol documentation, and daily operational reports for accuracy and completenessEnsure Guard Tour Patrols and required patrol documentation are completed and submitted appropriatelyRespond to incidents and provide leadership during emergencies and significant occurrencesLiaise with Seneca stakeholders, emergency responders, contractors, etc., as requiredSupport onboarding and training coordination of new security personnel alongside the Field Training Officer (FTO)Ensure all weekly and monthly audits are completed in accordance with requirementsSend operational notifications and incident communications as requiredReport operational, staffing, health and safety, and performance concerns to the Security Program Manager and Seneca Security AdministratorsMaintain confidentiality of sensitive information and investigationsSupport customer service initiatives and maintain positive working relationshipsEnsure compliance with Seneca policies, procedures, post orders, and contractual obligationsOther duties as assignedQualifications
Minimum three (3) years of security experience with previous supervisory experience preferredValid Ontario Security LicenseWSIB Approved First Aid and CPR Level CValid G-Class Driver’s License with clean driving abstractStrong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skillsExperience in post-secondary, healthcare, or large public-facing environments is an assetPost-secondary education in a related field is an assetLegally Authorized to work in CanadaMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding trainingThe UoF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite;
