The typical salary range for this position is $ - $ annually. The base salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity considerations.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Enterprise Security & Resilience, the Director, Retail Crime leads loss prevention, fraud, investigations and asset protection across Metro’s retail operations. The role drives strategy execution based on risk, ensures compliance, and acts as a key partner to banners, operations and external stakeholders.

Key / Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the team responsible for loss prevention, investigations, fraud and physical security technologies
  • Develop and execute loss prevention and asset protection strategies and programs
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual and internal requirements
  • Oversee investigations, complaints and security incidents and define action plans
  • Monitor risks, threats and crime trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Define KPIs and track program performance
  • Establish and manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets related to security and protection programs
  • Partner with retail operations across Quebec and Ontario
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (vendors, industry, law enforcement)
  • Coach, develop and lead the team
Qualifications
  • Bilingual (French/English) required
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
    Master’s an asset
  • 10+ years of experience in security, loss prevention or fraud
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Strong expertise in loss prevention and security technologies
  • Budget management experience (OPEX / CAPEX)
  • Strong leadership, influence, communication and adaptability
  • Strong Relationship building skills:
    • Internal:
      Security & Resilience, Operations, IT, Finance, HR, Banner leadership
    • External:
      Vendors, industry partners, law enforcement
