Part Time Security Guard at SHN

Become a part of the Scarborough Health Network as a Security Guard at the Centenary Site. This role focuses on theft prevention, maintenance of order, and controlling access in a hospital environment.

SHN is seeking three part-time Security Guards to join its dedicated security team. You will report to the Security Manager while implementing hospital emergency codes, enforcing regulations, and ensuring overall safety.

Your role is crucial in managing public interactions and maintaining a secure environment in compliance with hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prevent theft and vandalism throughout the facility

• Control access to restricted areas and maintain order

• Enforce hospital policies and emergency codes

• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff

• Participate in regular in-service safety education

Requirements:

• Secondary school graduate or equivalent

• 3 years prior security experience, focused on hospitals

• License under the Private Security and Investigation Act

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
