Position: Part Time Security Guard
Site: One Bloor, First Capital
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday (0000 - 1200)
OT Method: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

• Being alert and observant while being outside, standing or walking for an extended period in all weather conditions (Rain, Snow, Excessive Heat & Cold…etc.)
• Maintaining communications with fellow Security Guard/dispatchers, Cliental and Paladin Managerial Staff
• Ensuring all site staff adhere to all Paladin Security policies and procedures
• Completing mobile patrols diligently
• Documenting and investigating security incidents and complaints
• Communicating any concerns/issues with Supervisor/Client Service Manager or the client
• Maintaining the highest standard of security, being skilled in attitude, appearance and application
• Representing Paladin Security, Yorkville Village and their respected customers in a manner that enhances the quality, image and reputation
• Performing security duties in accordance with established procedures and ensuring they are conducted within the limitations of any federal, provincial and municipal laws
• Observing and recording all discrepancies, deficiencies, and safety hazards/concerns noted during patrols and taking corrective action either by informing the applicable department or handling it personally, whenever possible
• Being courteous and helpful in enforcing all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations
• Responding immediately to any emergency and coordinating response accordingly based on established procedures

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
• Covid Vaccine – two doses
• English (oral and written) fluency is a must
• Previous one year experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB). Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin’s UOF/MOAB certification program prior to onboarding training to ensure they meet position requirements.
• The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid;
  Paladin will cover all training costs with a 6‑month commitment to the position/availability.
