Security Guard Positions

City of Toronto is seeking dedicated Security Guards to ensure safety in various properties. Ideal candidates will monitor patrols and operate security systems across assigned locations.

This full-time role involves patrolling City-owned areas, conducting security audits, and responding to emergencies. As a Security Guard, you will interact with the public, assist visitors, and ensure overall safety. Successful applicants will manage alarms, prepare security reports, and they must have prior security experience to be eligible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned areas and monitor security systems

• Conduct security audits and provide enhancement advice

• Respond to security and fire alarms promptly

• Prepare detailed security incident reports regularly

• Assist in the movement of visitors and employees

Requirements:

• Prior experience in facility security or similar roles

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field

• Valid certificate in Standard First Aid and CPR 'C'

• Strong report writing and record-keeping skills
