Tactical Security Guards - Hospital and Mall

Job Description

Regal Security Inc. is currently seeking full-time Tactical Security Guards at our Hospital & Mall properties located in the Greater Toronto area.

The ideal candidate must have:

• Full-time availability to work all days of the week with schedules that include afternoons, overnight and weekend shifts – including holidays.
• Customer service-driven mindset
• Clear English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Detailed and thorough record-keeping (memo book, incident reports, etc.)
• Keen observation and attentiveness
• Professional presentation and deportment
• Decision making, reliability, common sense and sound judgment
• Able to work as part of a team
• Use of Force is an asset
• Use of Force must be passed and maintained for those hired for the role
• Experience as a Tactical Security Guard in healthcare and/or commercial properties

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding and personalized customer service as a front-line representative of Regal Security
• Operate and maintain an organized environment
• Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain the security and safety of clients and assets
• Oversee logging in and out of site equipment
• Monitor CCTV and card access systems
• Respond to emergency situations (medical, etc.)
• Ensure safety and emergency protocols are completed in response to Fire Alarms and other site emergencies
• Perform walking patrols and inspections of facilities and equipment
• Review and follow site post orders
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow health and safety procedures
• Duties as otherwise assigned

Qualifications:

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid/CPR Certification
• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent; preference for Criminal Justice or Business post-secondary education
• Proficient in using computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office, Gmail) and ability to adapt to new software

Compensation:

• Pay rate ranges from $18.00 to $21.00 per hour
• Health benefits available for full-time employees after 3 months of probation

6 months – 2 years

Security Guard License (including Emergency First Aid/CPR Level

C), WSIB Approved
- First Aid
- Emergency CPR-C AED, AODA Certification, WHMIS, MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior), Code White Response, Mental Health First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI/GPI), Violence Prevention in Healthcare / Code White, Pinel Restraint Training, Handcuffing & Restraint, Baton Training, Defensive Tactics, ASP Baton Certification, Advanced Use of Force

Range: $18.00/hour - $21.00/hour
