Security Guard

We are hiring for an upcoming event in Downtown Toronto. Over 50 security positions are available.

Location:

235 Yorkland Blvd Suite 400 North York, ON M2J 4Y8.

Career Fair Date: Monday, July 13th, 2026.

Shift Timings: Varies (Days, Afternoons, Overnights, Weekends, Rotational).

Wages: $19.00-$20.00/hr.

Physical Conditions: Must be able to work outside and inside in hot and cold weather; comfortable standing for long periods.

• De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
• Access control duties, ensuring only authorized persons are given access to the site.
• Foot patrols when required, ensuring all access areas are secure, walking for long periods during patrols.
• Access control and static security duties, possibly checking wristbands and/or tickets/QR Codes and performing bag checks of visitors and patrons.
• Crowd control duties, providing guidance to patrons and monitoring flow of visitors around the facility and entry and exit points.
• Work with on-site executive and VIP protection security personnel.

• Valid Ontario Security License.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Must be able to stand, walk for extended periods of time.
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
• Security experience in event security preferred.
• Customer service experience is a strong asset.
• Flexibility to work a variety of different shift times.
• Must be available to work from July 13th, to July 25th, 2026.
