Special Constable Position at University

The University’s St. George Campus is seeking dedicated individuals for the Special Constable role, where you will collaborate closely with the Toronto Police Services. Your responsibilities will include enforcing university policies, patrolling the campus, and engaging with students to maintain a secure environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform foot, bicycle, and mobile patrols

• Investigate and report policy violations and incidents

• Manage traffic and ensure crowd safety during events

• Document and preserve evidence during investigations

• Conduct crime prevention initiatives within the community

Requirements:

• Secondary school diploma and relevant experience required

• A minimum of one year in security or policing preferred

• Must qualify for special constable appointment by law

• Valid Ontario class “G” driver’s license essential

• Current Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate required
