Position: Security Guard - - University Health Network - Westpark.
Job Description:Working on assigned shifts, you will work full time shifts providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents.You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to coded emergencies in a quick and efficient manner.You should display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance.In this role, it is essential that you are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.Patrol assigned area on foot, as assigned, to ensure personal, building, and equipment security.Watch for and report irregularities by completing investigations and incident reports, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contact emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, as required.Utilize two-way radio and computer applications for communicating site activities.Sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and provide specialized security services by enforcing rules and regulations when required.Offer support to any person in need such as providing good customer service when providing a security presence, such as providing direction, responding to emergency situation involving violent individuals and injuries.Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Prerequisites:
Valid Security License for the province of OntarioValid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved providerImmunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella , Covid Vaccine two doses, and two step TB skin testEnglish (oral and written) fluency is a mustOne year experience in security, or law enforcement is an assetMust be able to clean-shave for N95 mask fit testingLegally authorized to work in CanadaDegree in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services will be an assetMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware:
The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
