Hours: Saturdays and Sundays (12PM to 12AM or 12AM to 12PM)
Payrate: $21.00
Overtime Method: Averaging agreement over 88 hours
Job Overview:
Hudson’s Bay Centre is a landmark mixed-use property located in the heart of downtown Toronto, featuring a blend of office, retail, and public spaces. The site serves a diverse community of tenants, visitors, and customers, creating a dynamic environment where security professionals play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a visible presence across the property to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activityConduct regular patrols of the mall, including common areas, entrances, and high-traffic zonesMonitor site activity and identify any safety or security concernsRespond to incidents including disturbances, theft, medical calls, and emergenciesProvide strong customer service by assisting tenants, employees, and visitors with directions and inquiriesEnforce policies, procedures, and safety regulationsCommunicate effectively with supervisor, and team membersComplete detailed incident reports and daily logs in a timely mannerAssist with crowd management during peak periods and special eventsSupport emergency procedures including evacuations and coordination with emergency servicesPrerequisites:
Ability to obtain a Security License in the province of OntarioValid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved providerPrevious experience in security, retail, or customer service is an assetExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong observation and situational awarenessAbility to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situationsStrong report writing and documentation skillsComfortable standing and walking for extended periodsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamApplicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionLegally authorized to work in CanadaWhy choose Paladin?
