Join the Greater Toronto Airports Authority as the Fire Chief, overseeing emergency services at Toronto Pearson Airport. This strategic role calls for strong leadership in fire safety and public service management.
Reporting to the Head of Safety, Security, and Emergency Services, you will integrate emergency preparedness into operational programs while guiding a high-performing leadership team. You will define modernization strategies for Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) and ensure compliance with aviation safety standards. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement in emergency management processes and foster collaboration across agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Airport Fire & Emergency Services operations

• Develop and implement modernization initiatives for ARFF

• Advise on fire protection requirements for capital projects

• Direct multi-agency emergency response and incident command

• Sustain a culture of safety and inclusion within the department
Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in fire services leadership

• NFPA Fire Officer II and related certifications

• Strong knowledge of aviation and safety regulations

• Familiarity with labor relations in unionized settings

• Commitment to strategic partnership development
