We are currently seeking a skilled and tactical Security Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing a high level of visible security service across various respite shelter homes in Toronto, Ontario. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and strong situational awareness while maintaining a customer service-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities   Maintain daily logs, incident reports, and equipment records
Provide security coverage across respite shelter locations through monitoring, patrolling, and system oversight
Respond to routine, emergency, and security-related incidents
Identify and report security breaches, safety hazards, and suspicious activities
Provide customer service, assist visitors, and support site operations
Escort emergency personnel (police, fire, ambulance) when required
Respond to alarms, support evacuations, and perform emergency procedures
Conduct access control, screening, and trespass management in accordance with legal guidelines
Complete incident reporting and follow-up investigations
Perform site inspections, lock-up/opening procedures, and safety checks
Work collaboratively with site partners to maintain a safe environment
Requirements/ Qualifications   Minimum High School Diploma (Grade 12)
Minimum 2 years of security experience (tactical experience preferred)
OR 1 year experience with a relevant Canadian diploma/degree (Police Foundations, Law Enforcement, Investigations, Community Justice, etc.)
Strong knowledge of Criminal Code, Trespass to Property Act, and use of force/arrest procedures
Excellent communication and active listening skills
Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physically able to stand/walk for extended periods (up to 12-hour shifts)
