In this key role, you will oversee the Security Operations Centre (SOC) within a Government of Ontario facility. You will monitor security systems, coordinate security personnel, and support emergency response activities.
- Monitor and operate access control, CCTV, fire and life safety systems
- Dispatch and coordinate security personnel and calls for service
- Operate two-way radios and manage communications
- Coordinate emergency response and incident management
- Monitor alarms, incidents, and suspicious activities
- Maintain logs, records, and incident documentation
- Review CCTV and access control reports as required
- Respond to incoming calls, emails, and security inquiries
- Issue visitor, contractor, and access badges
- Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors
- Support and direct security personnel during routine and emergency situations
This site is a Government of Ontario Building.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification
- Post-secondary education in Security, Law, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of security experience in a commercial, institutional, or government environment
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience in a Security Operations Centre or Control Centre
- Working knowledge of access control, CCTV, and life safety systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
