Job Description
In this key role, you will oversee a state-of-the‑art healthcare command centre.

Your role will include the following:

SOC Operator is a shift lead role, responsible for the oversight of the security platoon

Responsible for orienting guards to their respective roles

Assist in tracking and deployment of security staff

Monitor and operate numerous command centre systems including, access control, CCTV, fire and life safety.

Make emergency overhead announcements

Collaborate with the Security Coordinator on special projects

Assist in training new staff

Answer Telephones and dispatch calls from the command centre

Handle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking.

Liaise with security staff, Paladin Operations Centre and assist with deployment

Liaise with visitors, clients and staff

Manage the issuance and return of facility keys and /Access cards

Issue Visitor and Contractor badges

Requirements

Proof of double Covid Vaccination

Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and
2)

Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification (WSIB Approved)

Must be willing to complete N95 Mask fit testing during the training

Proficient in English (both oral and written)

Experience working in a command or dispatch centre would be an asset

Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures.

Must be able to communicate clearly with clinical staff, and the general public while conveying professionalism and authority at all times.

Legally authorized to work in Canada

Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)

Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

Please be aware:
The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre‑employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
