Join Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Birthing Unit. Provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care during labor and the post-partum period.
As an RN, you will be responsible for caring for expectant mothers, providing bereavement counseling, and actively collaborating with the healthcare team. Key responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating for cesarean sections along with ensuring a family-centered approach to maternity care. Your skills will directly impact the quality of patient and family experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Care for women in labor and their newborns
• Offer bereavement counseling as necessary
• Perform cesarean section scrubbing and circulating tasks
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Uphold the values of family-centered maternity care
Requirements:
• CNO Registration in good standing
• Recent experience in obstetric nursing
• Certification in breastfeeding skills is required
• Must hold NRP and CPR certifications
• Expertise in fetal monitoring and vaginal exams
