Position: Forklift Mechanic- GTA- Day OR Afternoons- $30-$35/hr

Forklift Mechanic
Position Overview This is a newly created role for an experienced Forklift Mechanic to support operations across multiple sites. The successful candidate will work independently, managing preventive maintenance and emergency repairs for a fleet of forklifts, primarily Linde equipment
. This role requires strong technical capability, accountability, and a long-term mindset. You will be provided with a dedicated service van and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
Compensation:

$30-$35 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing of forklifts across assigned locations

Diagnose and complete emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime

Maintain forklifts powered by propane and electric systems

Manage site-specific PM schedules and ensure compliance with maintenance standards

Document work completed, parts used, and equipment condition accurately

Communicate effectively with operations and maintenance leadership regarding equipment status

Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment

Required Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of hands-on forklift mechanic experience (non-negotiable)

Direct experience working on Linde forklifts strongly preferred

Proven experience servicing both propane and electric forklifts

Ability to work independently across multiple sites without close supervision

Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and mechanical repair skills

High level of professionalism, reliability, and ownership of work
