Transitional Housing Worker

Position: Full-Time Transitional Housing Worker
Become a part of CMHA Toronto as a dedicated Transitional Housing Worker for overnight shifts. This role provides essential support to individuals facing homelessness and mental health issues.

As a Transitional Housing Worker at Rosemount Integrated Support Program, you will deliver hands-on assistance that promotes recovery and independence. Your responsibilities include coaching clients on life skills, assisting in crisis situations, and collaborating with support teams. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and supportive living environment through consistent engagement and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with personal care and daily living skills

• Support goal-setting and life skills through case management

• Promote social inclusion among residents

• Conduct health and safety unit inspections regularly

• Document client progress and respond to crises appropriately

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Social Work or similar

• Experience with community-based mental health services

• Ability to manage complex client needs effectively

• Understanding of homeless outreach and support

• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
