As a key member of the Housing Access Program, you'll employ a client-first approach and collaborate with various community partners. Ensure participants in the housing portfolio access vital supports and handle crisis situations effectively while promoting long-term independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer support to former Tent City participants
• Engage in tenant mediation to prevent evictions
• Develop participants' problem-solving skills
• Participate in steering committees for program insights
• Maintain eligibility for rent-geared-to-income programs
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field
• Minimum 2 years supporting homeless individuals
• Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act
• Experience in crisis intervention and advocacy
• Strong case management and de-escalation skills
