Join Covenant House as a Youth Worker in the Rights of Passage program. This full-time role focuses on providing supportive services to youth in crisis and facilitating their life skills training.
This position involves direct implementation of Covenant House's philosophy while supporting youth on their journey to independence. As a Youth Worker, you will utilize a trauma-informed approach to engage with participants, assess their needs, and coordinate life skills sessions. You will have a pivotal role in fostering a positive environment for youth to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish professional relationships with youth participants
• Conduct ongoing support and life skills assessments
• Lead group sessions on essential life skills
• Oversee crisis interventions and participant safety
• Train and mentor new staff members
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Youth Work or related discipline
• Two years’ experience in a similar program
• Proficient in crisis management techniques
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
