Make a difference at Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre in Toronto as a Child and Youth Advocate. This full-time role involves crisis intervention and support in a collaborative environment.
Boost CYAC is hiring two advocates to work with children and families impacted by abuse. You will assess needs, provide educational support, and facilitate communication among multidisciplinary team members. A strong foundation in crisis intervention is essential for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Educate families about investigative processes
• Provide tours and support during sessions
• Conduct regular check-ins for ongoing support
• Deliver crisis interventions as needed
• Assist in preparing clients for court
Requirements:
• Degree in social work or related area
• At least three years working with victims of trauma
• Knowledge of cultural competence and responsive services
• Commitment to equity and justice
• Proficient with electronic health records and databases
