As part of the collaborative team at YWCA Toronto, you will ensure a welcoming environment for residents at the Elm Centre. This relief position is perfect for candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience in supportive housing, complemented by knowledge of trauma and crisis intervention.
Your role will significantly impact how residents and visitors experience the space.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and direct visitors to appropriate staff
• Receive and direct calls regarding maintenance and security
• Ensure guests sign in and out of the building
• Handle complaints diplomatically and de-escalate conflicts
• Monitor building activities via surveillance
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 1 to 3 years of related experience
• Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with trauma-informed practices
