The Community Worker program at George Brown College equips students with the knowledge and skills to advocate for progressive social change. Focusing on issues like poverty, housing, and discrimination, the curriculum combines classroom instruction with supervised field placements. Graduates are prepared for careers in community support, advocacy, and development, and are eligible for registration as a Registered Social Service Worker (RSSW).

Diploma program, 2 years (4 semesters). Eligible for Post‑Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• Grade 12 English (C or U)

• Complete a Vulnerable Sector Check before commencing field placement.
• Provide proof of vaccination if required by field placement partners.
