Who we are

Children are at the front and centre of what we do; they are the foundation of our purpose and the basis for our evidence-driven strategy. Our mission is to transform the lives of children, youth and their families by developing and delivering innovative, research-based mental health and early learning programs. At the Child Development Institute (CDI), we are passionate about helping our communities’ most vulnerable members and their caregivers.

It motivates each of us to face what can be difficult situations while continuously finding the purest joy in play, in silence, in advice, and in the unbelievable strength and resilience of our young clients. Joining us now is a rewarding opportunity to be part of an organization that is built on a legacy of more than 100 years of helping children and families.

Recognized as a leader and model for measurement-based impact, we are client-centred, family-centred, and data-informed. We are a place where professionals grounded in mental health, care, and well‑being of infants, children and youth, come together in collaboration, learning and inclusion. As a multiservice organization delivering social, emotional, and behavioural counselling services, early childhood education, learning disabilities and mental health services, and family violence services, we address the whole person.

Every child and family that reaches out to us is unique, and we value and embrace their individuality. We deliver the tailored support and tools they need to build life‑long skills, positive mental health, and resilience. With their trust in us, we guide children and families along a supportive journey. It is an often difficult path and simultaneously the most rewarding experience for providers, children and families.

Who

we need

Stop Now And Plan (SNAP) is an evidence-based model for children that provides a framework for teaching effective emotional regulation, self‑control and problem‑solving skills to children aged 6-18 struggling with behaviour issues and their parents. The primary goal of SNAP is to keep children in school and out of trouble by helping them make better choices "in the moment."

Who you are

You are a registered therapist or Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related discipline and are in good standing with a relevant professional college. You bring extensive clinical experience working with children and youth (ages 6–18), families, and groups, including a minimum of five years of experience providing clinical supervision in a clinical setting. You have strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, trauma‑informed, attachment-based) and a solid understanding of privacy, ethical, and regulatory standards.

You are an experienced clinical leader who can guide staff through complex cases, support high-quality service delivery, and contribute to program effectiveness through sound judgement, collaboration, and accountability.

This is an existing full-time working five days per week on‑site role based at our Euclid head office.

What's in it for you

Profound purpose. You will play a key role in leading a clinical program that supports children, youth, and families through evidence-based care. You will ensure services are delivered to a high standard, grounded in strong clinical practice and aligned with CDI’s commitment to measurable outcomes and meaningful impact.

Impact. You will take ownership of program delivery, balancing clinical excellence with operational effectiveness. You will influence team performance, service quality, and client outcomes, while contributing to ongoing program development and continuous improvement within the SNAP model.

Growth. You will expand your leadership across clinical, people, and program management. As part of the Clinical Managers group, you will collaborate across programs, contribute to broader organizational priorities, and continue to build your leadership capability through hands‑on experience, coaching, and development opportunities.
