Position: Youth Worker for Transitional Housing
Be a vital part of Covenant House as a Youth Worker specializing in the Rights of Passage program. This full-time position supports homeless and at-risk youth through hands-on guidance and life skills development.

As a permanent Level 6 Youth Worker, you'll implement Covenant House's mission and policies that drive transitional housing initiatives.

Your role will involve building supportive relationships with participants, applying a trauma-informed approach, and assisting them in achieving their goals. You will work on life skills during both group sessions and one-on-one meetings, ensuring a safe and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build supportive relationships with youth participants

• Facilitate group life-skill sessions and individual support

• Provide crisis intervention in emergencies

• Monitor safety in the transitional housing environment

• Advocate for participants with external partners

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in child and youth work

• Minimum two years in shelter or transitional housing

• Experience with trauma-informed approaches

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge of community resources
