In this vital role, you will provide direct support to those at risk and survivors of sexual exploitation within Toronto’s Indigenous community. This position requires you to develop programs and educate service providers on human trafficking issues. Your focus will be on holistic approaches, promoting community wellness and resilience, while building essential relationships and support networks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support survivors of sexual exploitation through outreach initiatives
• Develop and facilitate workshops addressing human trafficking
• Maintain accurate case files and written reports
• Co-create group activities and community events
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
• BSW degree with 1-2 years relevant experience
• Understanding of human trafficking impacts on Indigenous communities
• Knowledge of 2
SLGBTQA+ community
• Excellent counseling and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and support community requests
Support Indigenous empowerment and community healing with Native Child’s holistic approach.
