SLGBTQIA+ youth lives as a Student Case Manager at Friends of Ruby's Housing Program. This vital role focuses on intensive case management, community relations, and administrative support, with a requirement for on-site work three days per week.

This position is available from September 2026 to May 2027 and requires a commitment to helping high-risk youth navigating housing and mental health services. You will conduct assessments, develop care plans, and support life-skills development. Previous experience in mental health and social services is beneficial, contributing to a successful and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct participant assessments to identify needs

• Collaborate on care plans with a client-centered approach

• Facilitate life-skills workshops for youth

• Maintain trusting relationships with residents

• Assist participants with rental applications and viewings

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a social work or social service worker degree

• Experience in case management and mental health preferred

• Understanding of housing resources and rights

• Excellent communication skills, particularly in DEI contexts

• Legal eligibility to work in Canada and Ontario residency
