Through the Community Worker program, you will explore vital issues such as poverty and discrimination, preparing for a fulfilling career in community support and social advocacy. The two-year course includes professional instruction combined with practical field placements. Upon completion, graduates are eligible for registration as Registered Social Service Workers (RSSW).
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage in community advocacy and support
• Participate in comprehensive field placements
• Address pressing social issues through education
• Design actionable community development plans
• Complete all necessary checks for placements
Requirements:
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• Grade 12 English (C or U) proficiency
• Vulnerable Sector Check required
• Vaccination proof may be needed
• Admission subject to specific terms and conditions
