Residential Care Worker

Serve in a meaningful role as a Residential Care Worker with The Salvation Army in Toronto, ON. Ensure safety and security for residents while contributing to a mission-driven community.

This full-time position requires providing a secure environment while supporting tenants across various facilities. Ideal candidates will exhibit strong communication skills and work well within the social services sector. Your responsibilities will encompass front-line reception, monitoring safety, and gathering critical documentation to uphold The Salvation Army’s values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety for all residents and visitors

• Perform hourly facility rounds and security checks

• Manage front desk operations, including a multiline phone

• Document incidents and prepare reports for management

• Assist with facility evacuation procedures as needed

Requirements:

• Completed up to two years of Community College in social services

• Experience with multi-line telephone systems

• Background in customer service is preferable

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Ability to pass background checks as required
