Join COSTI as a Service Centre Specialist and make a difference in people's lives through employment counselling in Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, or Toronto. This full-time role focuses on guiding clients toward sustainable employment.
The Service Centre Specialist serves as the initial touchpoint for clients, welcoming them and conducting thorough intakes to assess eligibility for employment programs.
Your role will involve creating individualized action plans, providing job search coaching, and connecting clients to vital community resources. By fostering client engagement and collaboration, you will directly impact their journey toward meaningful job opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create a welcoming environment for clients and visitors
• Conduct comprehensive client intakes and assessments
• Deliver employment coaching and job readiness workshops
• Refer clients to internal and external support services
• Ensure compliance with guidelines and maintain documentation
Requirements:
• Degree in Social Services or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years in employment counselling or related services
• Experience with diverse populations facing employment barriers
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Knowledge of client data systems and Microsoft Office
