Position: Toronto Community Development Role
Join Wood Green as a Community Development Worker to impact lives through supportive housing initiatives in Toronto. This role focuses on creating programs and facilitating workshops for diverse populations.

This contract position requires a proactive social service worker with a degree and extensive experience in implementing health promotion activities. You will work closely with participants, assess their needs, and develop innovative programming while collaborating with community organizations. Your goal is to foster community integration and support self-sufficiency among clients facing various challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and facilitate engaging program activities

• Prepare reports ensuring compliance with funder guidelines

• Collaborate with case managers on client care plans

• Engage tenants in program interest assessments

• Implement pre and post-program surveys to evaluate impact

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in social work or something similar

• 3+ years creating community programs

• Familiarity with anti-oppression and harm reduction paradigms

• Experience with program planning and evaluation

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
