This unique program at George Brown College is designed for those having an existing diploma or degree. Focused on progressive social change, you will learn how to address issues like discrimination and legal rights. Students will develop practical skills in counselling and program development, preparing them to work in collaborative community environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work on behalf of communities facing social issues
• Facilitate advocacy for rights and resources
• Implement community-based programs and services
• Organize initiatives to promote social equity
• Gain field experience before graduation
Requirements:
• Must hold a relevant diploma or degree
• Complete the mandated five-week program
• Pass an English proficiency assessment if needed
• Undergo a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
• Admission not guaranteed by meeting minimum requirements
