Community Settlement Worker

Become a vital resource for newcomers as a Community Settlement Worker at Newcomer Women’s Services Toronto. This in-person role focuses on offering essential support and information to help clients navigate their new environment.

This full-time temporary position, based in Toronto, engages up to two enthusiastic individuals committed to supporting refugees. You will conduct needs assessments, provide referrals, and facilitate group sessions tailored to diverse client needs. With responsibilities including outreach and case management, you will make a significant impact on the newcomer community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct needs assessments for newcomer clients

• Facilitate group sessions addressing diverse needs

• Develop outreach plans to promote services

• Provide orientation and access to essential services

• Ensure timely referrals to community resources

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field

• 1–3 years as a Settlement Worker

• Proficient in a second language (Spanish, Arabic, etc.)

• Skilled in assessment, engagement, and case management

• Available to work evenings and weekends
