In your position under the Bekaadendang initiative, you will provide culturally relevant support and case management to individuals confronting sexual exploitation challenges. Collaboration with community members and facilitating workshops will enhance your outreach capabilities. Your expertise in Indigenous worldviews and harm reduction is essential to deliver impactful support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist survivors and individuals at risk of exploitation
• Develop and facilitate outreach initiatives and training
• Build relationships with community collaterals and stakeholders
• Maintain updated case files and reports
• Support program development to address service gaps
Requirements:
• BSW degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience required
• Deep understanding of Indigenous cultures and issues
• Awareness of harm reduction techniques
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills
• Capacity to work evenings when needed
