In this position, you will support Indigenous youth through crisis intervention, cultural workshops, and essential resources. Reporting to the Supervisor of the Native Youth Resource Center, your work includes developing and delivering programs that resonate with the cultural values of the community. Your contribution aligns with Native Child's mission of fostering a supportive environment that honors Indigenous roots.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct service to Indigenous youth in need
• Develop community resources for homeless and at-risk youth
• Implement life skills and cultural workshops
• Conduct outreach to engage with youth in the community
• Maintain accurate records and reporting
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Child and Youth Work or related field
• High literacy in Indigenous culture
• Lived experience as an Indigenous person
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to work various scheduled shifts
Your role will truly uplift Indigenous youth and strengthen community bonds in Toronto.
