Position: Full-Time Counsellor Role with JVS
Transform employment futures with JVS Toronto as a full-time Employment Counsellor on a one-year contract. Engage directly with clients to enhance their job search and retention skills.

In this pivotal role, you will assess client backgrounds, develop individual service plans, and provide comprehensive support throughout their employment journey. Your expertise will guide clients in overcoming barriers, utilizing local community resources effectively while maintaining thorough documentation in compliance with program requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess client employment needs and provide guidance

• Develop and implement personalized service plans

• Conduct client interviews for program eligibility

• Ensure complete and compliant case file management

• Collaborate with the Job Development team for client success

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or Post Graduate Certificate in Counselling

• 1-2 years recent counselling experience in IES

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Familiarity with community resources

• Required Criminal Record Check
