In this unionized role, you'll engage with Indigenous youth aged 16-29, addressing barriers to their success. You'll develop workshops focusing on education, employment, and life skills, while supporting them both on-site and in the community. Your advocacy will secure their rights, and your holistic approach will foster cultural enrichment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct service to youth experiencing barriers
• Develop and facilitate workshops on education and employment
• Liaise with community agencies for educational pathways
• Offer wrap-around support including transportation and food access
• Advocate for youth rights and entitlements
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in social services
• Minimum 2 years of youth work experience
• Knowledge of Indigenous cultural programming
• Ability to connect with First Nations/Metis/Inuit youth
• Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required
Support Indigenous youth to achieve their potential through education, cultural enrichment, and career preparation.
