Position: Covenant House Street Outreach Worker
Covenant House Toronto is seeking a full-time Street Outreach Worker to assist young people experiencing homelessness. Be a supportive presence, facilitating access to essential services and resources for vulnerable youth.

In this permanent role, you will work on-site in downtown Toronto, implementing trauma-informed practices to build rapport with youth. You'll focus on providing immediate care and connecting young people to longer-term resources, including housing and mental health support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct street outreach in community locations

• Build relationships through empathy and active listening

• Provide crisis intervention and basic needs support

• Distribute harm reduction supplies like naloxone

• Help youth navigate systems and access resources

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Child & Youth Work or Social Work

• 2-3 years experience in outreach or support roles

• Skills in risk assessment and crisis management

• Proficiency with case management tools

• Commitment to social justice and equity practices
