This community development position is centered on aiding children and families impacted by violence. You will provide crisis counseling and develop programs that support social and living skills. Working collaboratively, you will ensure meaningful service delivery that empowers youth to take charge of their paths to independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with leadership activities for children and families
• Interview and assess children’s individual needs
• Develop and implement skills-focused workshops
• Provide referrals and liaise with community agencies
• Maintain effective communication with team members
Requirements:
• Degree in child development or similar field
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in community programming
• Understanding of trauma and family dynamics
• Proven skills in workshop development and implementation
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
