Join Covenant House as a Full-Time Youth Worker providing vital support to at-risk youth. This onsite role is perfect for those committed to implementing a trauma-informed care approach.
The Resident Services Department seeks a dedicated Youth Worker for day and evening shifts to assist youth with their physical and emotional needs. In this full-time, permanent position, you will engage with a caseload of up to 10 youth, helping them develop essential life skills. Flexibility is key, with a focus on collaboration with other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide ongoing assessment of youth's emotional and physical needs
• Facilitate life skills and recreational activities in groups
• Support youth with case plans through daily check-ins
• Connect youth with community resources as needed
• Ensure safety during wake-up and bedtime routines
Requirements:
• Degree in child and youth work or equivalent
• Two years' experience in residential settings
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Certification in First Aid and CPR
• Strong communication skills with youth
